Wine Tasting (How to)
Simple steps to enjoying your wine tasting experience
- Make reservation in advance, and arrive on time.
- Select tasting preference (standard, cave tour, reserve/estate tasting, etc.).
- Allow the wine educator to walk you through the tasting and make recommendations that may enhance your experience.
- Ask questions. They are there to help you understand and appreciate their wines. Take notes. Also feel free to "revisit" wines you love if you think you may want to purchase.
- Purchase bottles of wine...ONLY if you love the wines you taste; and consider membership if available. All wineries do not have memberships/wine clubs.
- Pay the bill. Some wineries will waive tasting fee if you purchase a specified amount of wine. Familiarize yourself with the costs prior to your visit.
Should I join a club?
