Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Living the Grape Life is a resource for anyone who wants to discover ways to add more wine to their life. Whether you are new to wines or have a long appreciation for wine, you will learn of wines, wineries, events and experiences that will augment your wine journey.
No. Our mission is to introduce people to wine and help them discover wines they love. By taking the mystery (and snobbery) out of the wine drinking and buying experience, we believe it will become more accessible and people will feel more at easy in their wine interactions. Wine tasting, purchasing gifts, or traveling to new regions may feel overwhelming to the novice or even to the connoisseur. As Greer expands her knowledge and connections, you are invited to share in that journey and enjoy the benefits of having a friend in the wine business.
This website will grow over the coming days, months and years. In this first phase there will be a podcast with interviews of industry experts, such as winemakers, growers, and marketers. Additional content about food & wine pairings, travel, and events will also be available, as well information about ancillary industry professions including bottling, cooperage, crafts and more.
Living the Grape Life has an initial focus on Napa and Sonoma Valleys and the surrounding areas (Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Glen Ellen, Anderson Valley, etc.). In short order, we will expand to other Northern California wine regions (Anderson Valley, Mendocino, Lodi, Shenandoah Valley…), and the Central Coast (Paso Robles, Santa Ynez…) will follow. By year’s end, we'll cover Southern California (Temecula, San Diego…) and beyond.
In 2025, we expect to expand to other states, from Oregon and Washington States, to Maine, Vermont, Virginia, and the other states in between who are promoting their wine regions.
By 2026, we bring you other regions around the world, from France to Chile, from Argentina to Italy, from South Africa to Australia, and New Zealand to any other places we can make happen.
The sky is the limit and we will not wait to go to any destination if an opportunity or request comes ahead of the above timeline.
Absolutely, one of the key services available is assisting with designing a customized itinerary for a day trip or a multi-day vacation. Please contact Greer for more information. And yes, we can arrange for Greer to accompany you on a wine tasting adventure.
Much of the content on the Living the Grape Life is original, based on the travels and wine experiences of founder, Greer McVay, and the team that brings it all together. However, much of it is curated from other sites that promote the wine industry. Let’s face it, there’s no need to recreate things like descriptions, definitions and maps. Whenever possible, and it is almost always possible, credit is given to the content creator. While imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, we respect the work, and rights of others who share our love of the world of wines.
The short answer is not yet. Greer has her own label, Envie, McVay Family Vineyards, and is looking for ways to share it with you. However, selling alcohol online is a whole thing that requires licensing, etc. As soon as details can be worked out, you’ll be the first to know.
We are also working to partner with the makers of the wines we love and would be proud to recommend, so we can be the conduit to your building a collection you can share with your family and friends. In the meantime, we will let you know about the wines we are loving so you can purchase directly from our favorite wineries.
